Confirmed: Japanese Ship was attacked
Nothing on main line news sources on this, but a Scotland newspaper has the story here.
From the photos released it was so obvious this is no surprise.
Japanese Supertanker Damaged in Hormuz Straits
A very unlikely story coming through the Wall Street Journal after an explosion hit a Japanese Supertanker in the narrow Straits of Hormuz. The WSJ headline reads Rogue Wave Is Suspected in Mideast Tanker Blast

I know a little about Rogue waves and can say with certainty that this report is highly unlikely and there is probably no other least likely place to find a rogue wave than in the Straits of Hormuz.
Debka is probably much more accurate. They have blamed Rogue Iranian Guards not rogue waves, (lol pun) although I wouldn’t put it past any state run covert agency (Saudi, Israeli, UAE any of the above) that knows how to cover their tracks and is intent to see the missiles start flying start sooner rather than later.
The US Navy is curiously in agreement with Iran, they are blaming the explosion on a rogue wave also, citing a local earthquake. The BBC is reporting “A seismologist in nearby Iran said an earthquake of magnitude 3.4 happened in Bandar Abbas”.
I know a little about Tsunamis also and can tell you it typically takes a minimum of a 7.5 Richter scale Earthquake to generate a Tsunami. Even if a Tsunami is generated, they travel entirely unnoticed (except for buoys with sensitive measuring equipment) through deep open water. Shipping lanes are 100% safe from Tsunamis. Furthermore, if a tsunami was generated, how come there was no wave reported in Bandar Abbas or neighboring Dubai or Muscat?
The tanker’s owner and operator, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd., said the explosion could have resulted from an attack, as a crew member saw light above the horizon. Mitsui said on Thursday it has hired a specialist on military attacks to help it investigate the cause of damage to their tanker.
This Japanese tanker, one of the largest in the world is called the M. Star. A curious coincidence, the Saudi Aramco supertanker that was hijacked and held for ransom in 2008 was also one of the largest in the world and was named the MV Star. They have similar names but are two different ships.
We are exhorted in Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
As always, Jerusalem will be the center of the upcoming war, not the Persian Gulf. However if Iran is attacked by the US or Israel, this would probably be a Iraq redux, and not the beginning of anything apocalyptic. The wars predicted in Psalm 83, Ezekiel 38 and the scarier parts of the New and Old Testament will be offensives for the Muslims, not defensive.
Jesus said in Matthew 24:6 And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
